Q: How do you maintain the height of the platen during spinning? Basically my concern is if the platen is wobbling or randomly going up and down, it will damage the fiber. Thanks!
A: Our rotating platen (in which polishing film is placed on a glass disk/rubber pad) lies directly upon the polisher baseplate. Both consist of aluminum that is ground to a high level flatness tolerance. Additionally, a quality control run-out measurement inspection(i.e. up/down movement) is perform.

Q: What's the maximum cycle time?
A: The SpecPro's digital timer is adjustable from 6 to 60 second intervals. An option is available for continuous operation controlled by an "on/off" switch.

Q: Does it come with the Universal UPC workholders?
A: All workholders are individually purchased for the base SpecPro. We will send a quotation for your UPC polishing application.

Q: We're wondering if you have an attachment for the SpecPro polisher to polish FC/APC fibers? Right now we use it on FC/PC fibers and were considering making a switch.
A: Yes. We offer an interchangeable workholder fixture for FC/APC connectors.

Q: I like this machine but it appears to be for SC/UPC style connectors. Is there a fixture for this 4 fiber polisher designed for doing the SC/APC connectors? With an inspection process while it is still mounted in the fixture?
A: SpecPro is capable of polishing up to 4 connectors simultaneously. This includes SC/APC.

Q: Hello, is there a part number or SKU # for the SpecPro bare fiber/connector polisher for ordering purposes
A: Yes. The part number for the SpecPro base polisher is "SP4L". Please note, this will require either a connector or bare fiber workholder fixture.

Q: How is the polishing time controlled?
A: The SpecPro polisher has a built-in digital timer that can be adjusted from 1 to 60 second cycles.

Q: Are there any inspection options with SpecPro?
A: Yes, the SpecVision videoscope (Model Number:SV7 ) engages with SpecPro workholders for connector surface inspection.

Q: What type of battery powers the SpecPro?
A: Standard 9 volt batteries. It also operates AC power using an adapter (included).

Q: What size of films compatible with the SpecPro?
A: 4" films.

Q: I have a Universal UPC Workholder. What else do I need for polishing bare fibers?
A: Basically you will required a Bare Fiber Adapter and Adapter Coupler for each polishing position.

Q: Is the pressure adjustable with SpecPro?
A: Yes, there are 3 user selectable pressure settings.

Q: Can SpecPro polish the component illustrated in this attachment?
